How to delete your bots

The method for deleting your bots differs depending on your BotGhost subscription type.

Note: "Deleting" your bot in this article refers to removing it from BotGhost and permanently erasing its BotGhost data. The bot's profile and Discord Developers Portal configurations will still exist within Discord.

Subscription Limitations

  • Newer subscriptions: Manual deletion is not available. Follow the instructions outlined in the How to request bot deletion article.
  • Legacy Unlimited subscriptions: Manual bot deletion is available via the bot’s Settings page.
  • Legacy SINGLE subscription: BotGhost can remove your bot token, which disconnects your account from the bot. The bot itself will remain active if it is running elsewhere.

Legacy UNLIMITED Subscriptions

  1. Log in to your account on the BotGhost Dashboard.
  2. Select the bot you wish to delete from the dropdown menu in the top-left corner of the dashboard.
  3. Go to Settings for the selected bot.
  4. Scroll down to the Remove Bot option.
  5. Click Delete Bot and confirm your decision when prompted.

Important: Once deleted, the bot and all its data (commands, and configurations) will be permanently removed.

Legacy Single Subscriptions

Create a support ticket on the BotGhost Help Center and request for the Premium token to be removed from your bot. Ensure that you use the email associated with the bot's owner account, and include all relevant information such as the bot's Discord Application ID.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I delete my bot if I have a newer subscription?
A: No. Direct deletion from the dashboard is not available for newer subscriptions. Instead, follow the instructions outlined in the How to request bot deletion article.

Q: What happens to my bot’s information and commands after deletion?
A: All commands, events, modules, and other configurations will be permanently erased when a bot is deleted.

Q: I have a Legacy SINGLE subscription. Can my bot be deleted?

Q: What if I accidentally delete the wrong bot?
A: Bot deletion is irreversible. You will need to create a new bot and manually restore any saved configurations. Make sure you confirm and double-check which bot you're deleting, whether
manually or via support request.
