Renewal reminders and notifications

This article covers the way renewal attempts are processed, what happens if a payment fails, and how to quickly resolve failed transactions using the direct payment link provided in your email.

How Renewal Attempts Work

When your BotGhost subscription is due for renewal, the system automatically attempts to charge the payment method saved on your account.

  • Multiple Attempts: If the first payment attempt fails, BotGhost will automatically retry the payment within 1–2 days.

  • Payment Success: If one of the retries succeeds, your subscription continues without interruption.

  • Payment Failure: If all attempts fail, your subscription may be paused until the outstanding invoice is resolved.

Email Notifications for Failed Payments

If a payment attempt fails, you will receive an email notification from BotGhost. This email contains:

  • A payment failure notice

  • The reason for the failure (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds)

  • A button/link to directly pay the outstanding invoice

How to Pay a Failed Invoice via Email

  1. Open the payment failure email sent by BotGhost.
  2. Click the Pay Invoice button inside the email.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the secure payment page.
  4. Enter updated payment details if necessary.
  5. Complete the payment to restore your subscription.

Tips & Notes

  • Ensure your card details (expiry date, CVV, billing address) are always up to date.

  • If you have recently changed banks or cards, update your payment method in your BotGhost dashboard to avoid failed renewals.

  • Payments may fail due to insufficient funds - make sure your account has enough balance before the renewal date.
