How auto-renewal works

BotGhost subscriptions (Premium and Priority Hosting) automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel through the customer portal.

Auto-Renewal Details

  • Depending on whether you purchased a monthly or yearly plan (for all BotGhost subscriptions), your subscription will automatically renew on the date of purchase every month or every year.
  • To stop auto-renewal, you must cancel your subscription before the next billing date. Premium will remain active on your bots until the billing period ends. Detailed instructions on stopping auto-renewal can be found in the Turning off auto-renewal article.

Important Information

  • BotGhost doesn't offer midterm refunds. Cancelling a subscription only stops auto-renewal and future charges. Your Premium features will remain active on your bots until your billing period ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my subscription renew automatically?
A: Yes—unless canceled. All BotGhost plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period.

Q: How do I prevent auto-renewal?
A: Follow the Turning off auto-renewal guide before your next billing period begins.

Q: When does my subscription stop if I cancel?
A: Your access remains until the end of the current billing period—even after cancelling. You'll lose Premium access when the current billing period ends. For more information, read the What happens after cancellation article.

Q: Can I get a refund if I cancel early?
A: No. Cancelling stops auto-renewal but does not refund the current term.

Q: Which portal do I use to cancel?
A: You can access the appropriate subscription portal by simply clicking the Manage Subscription button on your bot's Settings page on the BotGhost Dashboard.

  • Use Stripe if you have Priority Hosting or a Premium plan purchased after March 15, 2025.

  • Use Chargebee if your Premium plan was purchased before March 15, 2025.

Q: What happens if I don’t cancel and the renewal fails?
A: Your subscription will be paused and multiple attempts will be made to renew it. If all fail, you'll receive an email informing you of cancellation until you update payment details and manually restart your subscription.
